- explore Barcelona for (too short a time) couple of days and then catch the very fast train (AVE) to Madrid; and
- join first tour that covers Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
At tour end, we will make our way from Madrid to London for the rest of the week.
We then join (at 5.30am!), the second tour (Highlights of Europe). I think this tour starts at precisely the time that the AFL Grand Final will be on! I still can't believe that I planned this! I must be mad but I'm sure there'll be other Grand Finals - with the Lions emulating their 3 peat of 2001, 2002 and 2003. One lives in hope!
We have a couple of days in Paris after this tour ends and then we will be homeward bound.
That is "the plan"!
**Very important note: At all times we will be relying on the language skills of "the other J" as this one knows her limitations. (I won't offer up the only French I remember "le chat est sur la table" unless I want to cause total bewilderment. I don't know why I remember that "the cat is on the table" as it is not exactly something that "eases" into everyday conversation - particularly when you don't have a cat and don't have any (hidden or visible) fondness for the felines.)
I would be even less help. My only memorised phrase is "My name is Jean Cluny, and this is my friend Anne". I think yours is more likely to be used :)
