Wow!
What an adventure.
First we went in horse and buggy for a Moroccan meal near the night Medina ( market) where hundreds of thousands of people were milling, eating, being entertained by so many things. The noise, the buzz, the crowds, the sellers ( of whatever you wanted or didn't want), the half terrified feeling that you'd be lost couple with the thrill of being with so many people moving in all different directions in all different modes on foot, on bike, in car, on horse, was exhilarating. This was just a normal Sunday evening in Marrakesh. The smells and the sounds as well as what the eyes could see was an amazing mixture. Even the smoke rising from the cooking of the meats seemed to produce not only a wonderful aroma but further mystique.
Jonathan wasn't that excited when I told him he had just stepped on a snake skin ( nicely shed I thought).
The tour group couldn't believe that we weren't all tied or chained together to ensure we didn't lose each other but somehow with the local guide, we all emerged.
I've taken a photo of a post card as my photos don't do justice.
( Note. I'll have to post this entry half finished as it can't load as is. I'll finish / continue at another time- cant even review what I've written)
Then we went to our Moroccan dinner. (I didn't really intend to do the 'royal wave' as I went through the door at some unknown photographer).
An example of some of the food
Jonathan didn't get married again but he did dance with this very attractive young belly dancer.
The next day (Monday) we had the morning free and had the wonderful dress and shoe
experience as detailed earlier. After this we joined the coach and we saw the Palais de la
Bahia. (It is dreadful but we have seen so many palaces and Cathedrals and beautiful places, I am only able to identify which is which by the date and the tagging details on the photos themselves )

After this we were then dropped off at a Pharmacy where one could buy Morrocan oil, cream and spices to cure everything. It was like being at an auction with a combination of hard sell. Of course I had to buy anti ageing and removal of dark spots creams. ( Everything will be cured forever!). Afterwards, Spanish J who had been telling us all the trip, the benefits of the anti ageing cream used by his wife, said to a couple of people near me that he had to go back to get his 10%. I don't have any difficulty with that but if it was me I would have disclosed that to the group before the purchases. I doubt it would have made any difference to anyone's purchasing.
After this, people could go to Spanish J's "suggested 10% no doubt" place to buy silver ( not us) and then to the Medina for the general markets.
This is where we had a lot of unexpected fun (for the nominated 45 mins). We could have stayed longer but we are rapidly running out of luggage room with my buying things that I didn't intend- but it is all so lovely!
