7 Sept- optional tour Sat afternoon to Segovia (ex Madrid)

7 Sept -  Overview -optional tour in afternoon to Segovia from Madrid

Without husband and without jacket, I went bravely on the coach trip in the full knowledge that "it could be quite cool at 26 degrees". I'm sure it was 26 degrees at Madrid.  In any case at Segovia, the temp plummeted to 23!! and I did not freeze (fancy that).  Mind you even if I had been shivering in my boots, there's no way I would have said I was cold!

The first visit was to the Aquaduct which was quite spectacular.

After this we could wander around by ourselves ( or with husbands or travelling companions
for those who weren't as wayward as me) for about an hour or so in the town itself.

Feeling suitably distraught, I headed to the beautiful Cathedral ( finished in 1500s?).  Unbeknown to Spanish J, I had a soul mate with me - Kermy.

Kermy and I prayed for heathens and husbands who take off with new brides when they come to Spain -  but figure it might be all a lost cause.

The cathedral was quite incredible but I seem to think that about each that I have seen ( and there are many with many more to come).
