12 Sept Thursday Visit to the Mezquita at Cordoba ( optional tour from Seville, Spain)
We're so very glad we took this optional day tour. An exceptional sight!
This would have to be our favourite Mosque/ Cathedral.
Again a wonderful experience. The great mosque ( not just any mosque) from the 7th century.
It is magnificent!
It was almost unbelievable. The mosque was later made into a cathedral but fortunately most of the mosque was left intact. It is a huge structure that just seemed to go on forever. As you can imagine, it was very calming and cool ( from the very hot day) inside.

Again, the excessive treasures, paintings, silver, gold, carvings, marble, craftsmanship are almost overwhelming.
It is magnificent!
